Munkkiluostarihotelli

San Clemente Palace Kempinski Venice sijaitsee San Clementen yksityisellä saarella ja on ylellinen historiallinen hotelli. Saari ja myöhemmin itse hotelli on saanut nimensä paavi Klemens I:n mukaan. Saarelle määrättiin 1200-luvulla rakennettavaksi kirkko, joka kunnostettiin 1300-luvulla ja joka majoitti munkkeja vuosisatojen ajan. 1800-luvun alussa kaikki kamaldolaismunkit joutuivat jättämään kirkon ja saaren, kun Napoleon Bonaparte tukahdutti italialaiset uskonnolliset järjestöt ja luostari hylättiin. Luostari kunnostettiin ja avattiin ensimmäisen kerran hotellina vuonna 2003, ja Kempinski-konserni osti sen ja avasi sen uudelleen nykyisenä ylellisenä hotellina vuonna 2016.
