Historiallinen hotelli

Dorchester House rakennettiin 1700-luvun lopulla Dorchesterin jaarlin Joseph Damerin toimesta. Lähes puoli vuosisataa myöhemmin rakennus korvattiin italialaistyylisellä palatsilla, mutta alkuperäisen rakennuksen nimi säilytettiin. Vuonna 1910 Dorchester House muutettiin Yhdysvaltain suurlähetystöksi, ja sitä käytettiin sairaalana toisen maailmansodan aikana. Rakennus purettiin vuonna 1929, mutta vain kaksi vuotta myöhemmin se rakennettiin uudelleen ja muutettiin nykyiseksi luksushotelliksi.
