Munkkiluostarihotelli

Vilkkaan Cuscon keskusaukion vieressä on Belmond-hotelli, entinen luostari ja kansallinen muistomerkki. Tämä entinen luostari tarjoaa ylellistä siirtomaatyylistä majoitusta, ja se sijaitsee sisäpihan ympärillä Cuscon historiallisessa keskustassa vain 2 korttelin päässä Plaza Armas -aukiolta. Alun perin vuonna 1592 rakennettu Belmond Hotel Monasterio sijaitsee inka Amaru Qhalan palatsin paikalla. Kuusi vuotta myöhemmin espanjalaiset ottivat sen haltuunsa ja perustivat San Antonio Abadin seminaarin. Maanjäristys kuitenkin vaurioitti rakennusta vakavasti vuonna 1650, ja restauroinnin yhteydessä rakennukseen lisättiin kaunis kappeli. Vuonna 1965 rakennus muutettiin hotelliksi, ja nyt se on kansallinen historiallinen maamerkki, jota Perun kansallinen kulttuuri-instituutti suojelee.
